Job Summary

We are seeking a Biochemistry & Biophysics Expert to help drive our discovery engine. This role is foundational to our scientific strategy, with a focus on characterizing molecular interactions, protein structure-function relationships, and supporting the development of novel therapeutic candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and perform biochemical and biophysical assays to characterize protein structure, stability, binding and function in the context of drug discovery projects.

  • Establish and optimize core biophysical platforms (e.g., SPR, DSF, MST) to support lead optimization, and mechanism-of-action studies.

  • Oversee protein expression, purification, and analytical characterization workflows.

  • Coordinate and manage relationships with CROs and academic collaborators to ensure high-quality, timely data delivery.

  • Collaborate with both internal and external structural biology and computational teams to interpret data in the context of 3D structure and guide rational design.

  • Work closely with protein engineering, cell biology, and translational teams to integrate biophysical insights into therapeutic development.

  • Analyze complex datasets, generate high-quality reports, and present findings to internal teams and external partners.

  • Contribute to scientific strategy, platform development, and IP generation in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

 

Job requirements

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Structural Biology, or related field with 5–10+ years of relevant experience (industry or postdoc).

  • Deep expertise in biophysical techniques and quantitative analysis of molecular interactions.

  • Hands-on experience with protein purification and characterization.

  • Exposure to structural biology techniques (e.g., cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, NMR) is a must.

  • Experience in managing relationships with CROs and academic collaborations is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a start-up setting.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
